‘Putte The Cat’ Candleholders 2011


I wanted to create object for MONNA STUDIO which could work as a shamelessly decorative piece in anybodys home and function still as simple tea light candle holder.


I own my inspiration for this ceramic candleholders totally for my friend the domestic house cat Putte Alexander Ibiza Haapaniemi.


He has brought countless moments of joy to my life and we share unforgettable history together.


As the decorative objects itself my inspiration for the patterns and simplistic forms comes from Scandinavian and Russian folklore combined with modern twist.
